- DO NOT post answers, links, screenshots or level's elements. You'll get banned if you spoil the pleasure of others, even if they ask for.
If you request some help :
Don't be too specific but don't be too vague. It's rather hard to find the right way to ask but imagine yourself in a room with other players. You can't whisper and you need to solve a riddle, you have the right to ask for a clue those who have already solved it, but you don't want the other players to find before you. To understand what you're asking for, one should be at the same step. Don't spoil the steps for the others ! You can use metaphors if you want. Show us that you're smart!
Read this topic carefully, your question may have already been asked (and answered). There's no need to ask the same question twice, even if there's no answer.
If you help somebody :
Don't help him too much, don't deprive him the pleasure to find by himself, just guide him on the way without being too specific, using as much images, metaphors and maybe other riddles as you can. After all, you're smart too ;)!
If everybody plays by the rules, things will be much more funny and no one will get hurt.
Write in a correct language, ban SMS style and try to avoid spelling mistakes as much as possible.
I know what to do, I did, but I can't read some letters on the *** file.
I've noticed this thing either on level 6 (wich i see you have already changed)
Can you be more precise on writing the letters in the future? this thing is frustrating, because you have resolved the riddle, but can't continue.
If you have done what is expected, I think you can read the word... or write me a PM to say what you've found
I'm in the same boat, sort of. I can see what really appears to be an answer, yet I can't proceed. I can read all the letters. With my colorful imagination and taking into consideration the duality/complementary nature of the puzzle I came up with a new answer based on what I found, but still it leads nowhere.
I have a feeling that although I think I'm at the last step, I'm actually at the next to last step and I'm missing something to push me over the hump. Any suggestions?
I repeat what bidipe said above. If you've done what is expected, there is no ambiguity about the answer unless you don't read it properly.
Don't consider capital letters. There are only small ones.
And I repeat what Ace said. I've done pretty much everything possible... everything I've learned from the game so far, every possible trick and clue, and I can't read that "word". 5 of the letters are readable but the other two are... well, questionable! What the heck do I do from here?? It's in the right direction, and aligned right... it's just not readable...
Very frustrating! :(
Available help by PM ;)
I kind of agree with you, even after finally solving this puzzle I consider it "bugged".
which puzzle is this?
Yin and yang.
ok i went to the other necessary links to the page and i have flip and flopped them but i still cant get anywhere.
Please help
I can understand your perspective on the matter, however, you aren't looking at it right.
if you are having trouble, follow the path to enlightenment.
I had quite a bit of problems with this level. I did everything correct, but the final answer had some hard to read letters in it - especially for people that are not used to cursive/running/fancy writing. Rodolfu's advice of "Don't consider capital letters. There are only small ones." was what helped me resolve this ambiguity. So, my advice is that if you are seeing a capital letter, then look again - it is actually a lowercase cursive/running/fancy letter.
ok, wow. I just finished this one, but it took me a really long time to figure it out (well, how to do it was easy, the problem everybody else has is the difficulty). Just like people have been saying, lowercase and cursive is what you're looking for. It will be obvious once you've found the answer. If you can't figure it out, just run through every cursive letter you can think of until the letter you're looking at is that letter.
I think the biggest problem in this riddle is a problem that shouldn't exist. The riddle is almost immediately solved for most people, and the data is there, but the data is left up for interpretation. Saying "cursive letters" just throws many more problems into the mix - so what cursive letter is that one exactly (the lower left one, that is)? It could be darn near anything...
IMO this one should be modified a bit to make that one letter - and pretty much only that one letter - clearer. I spent several hours on this one... solved it in about 5 minutes but spent the rest of the time (on and off) searching and figuring. It didn't occur to me it's actually one common English word like many of other puzzles :)

I'm completely confused. What letters are you all talking about? Yin Yang are what I have plus 2 pictures. What am I missing? :( Help? Please?
It's completely unnecessary, but it might help to research the concept of "yin and yang."
I keep getting confused by this one...I have done what I am supposed to but am unable to decipher the letters. Are they all right side up?
Why ask instead of just trying it?
:|I can't figure it out.
I see 2 pictures.
with yin and yang.
yin x yang = ying?
Citation de: jolieffect;)
All these colors make me feel like in a masquerade ball.
Each of the complaints seem to have a common thread, with a bit of understanding and confusion in each. I think they are having a metaphysical imbalance...
Well ive got what i think is close to the word, But for the life of me i cant get it to work.... any PM help would be appreciated..., PM me and ill tell ya what i got to see if its close... tyvm
I don't understand why people can't read it? It's not written in Japanese.
I am EVER SO LOST... can i get something to get me started, or perhaps an email hint?
Read the clue, and then just pretend like you are working the burger station at McDonalds!
Im not sure ive gotten anywhere here, but is this like a letter scramble also.
ok... I understand what I have to do, and I did it, but there are two letters I can't read. I went through cursive, everything... just can't figure it out. :( I feel stupid big time lol

I did what you said, I still can't figure it out. I got a possibilty for one letter but I'm not sure it's right. And there's one, it doesn't look like any kind of letter.
kRaZyKiRb: Yes, it could be. You'll run into similar situations across all riddles. PM me your answer and we'll figure it out together.
If people want to PM me with what they think is the answer I can help aswell.
I agree this riddle was a hard because it cant be left to interpretation. But, in all honesty.. if you dont know what one letter is.. theres only 26 in the alphabet. :)
kRaZyKiRb: Great minds think alike! see my post #31 :P
i see what i need to do but i don't see what the two words have in common maybe you could send me in the right dirrection fine i've gotten the two word from the pic and i get what i have to do wiht them from the clue but i don't know what spelling i should use i'd like to get one thign clear are there any spaces or capatals?

Go ahead pat and PM me but I think you maybe missing some key clues :)
This one is killing me. I think I am mis-interpreting the "pretend like you're working at micdonalds" clue. No matter which way I "make the burger," I can't decipher anything readable. I think perhaps I am down the wrong path with these letters. Any help? :(
Try the easiest way.
Don't get too caught up in the McDonald's thing. I was confused by it too.
Okay, I've read all the posts, I think I've tried all the clues. Because it isn't working for me I'm just going to say what I did so I can get some help.
1. I tried all the theoretical things like yin plus yang equals nothing, etc. none worked
2. I think I get that the x in the clue.
I'm working on a mac, not a pc, and that affected me on the sound file level. Does it affect me here? Please, I've been working on this level for a week and I still havent got it. I thought I was on the right track, but apparently not. PM me, post, anything, just a little help would REALLY be appreciated!!!
THANK YOU!!!!
~Justine
P.S. I don't want the answer, but another clue would help.
edited by giega: a bit too revealing
kRaZyKiRb: PM sent!

Ok, just solved this rather lame riddle!
Here is my suggestion on solving this problem:
1. All letters are not in cap.
2. Look up cursive hand writting.
3. The final answer has nothing to do with the meaning of YinYang. What the YinYang does is just giving you a procedure. But DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT think about YinYang at all when you're doing the final guess work.
The formula of "Yin x Yang = [Answer]" is misleading, beware !!!
phreakymonkey: Thank you for your contribution, but in the future, please keep your opinions about the riddles out of the help threads. There is an entire forum (https://web.archive.org/web/20071010005801/http://forum.ouverture-facile.com/viewforum.php?id=7) devoted to just that.

I feel really stupid, but I don't see ANY letters.
and I honestly can't remember "what I've learned" from other levels.
I can't make anything of this and would appreciate a PM with some help.
please and thanks.
its always good to have a new perspective ;)
I see you are all having problems. Well, i was stuck on this level at first, figured it all out without the clues, got my set of 'letters', and sat there and stared at them.
is that an exclamation point? how could it be? hmm...no, that can't be in HTML!
THESE CAN'T BE LETTERS.
i find, when i get frustrated like that, i find it best to lay on my back and look at the clouds, and maybe the answer will come to me then. ;)
I figured out most of the letters, theres just 2 i can't read, could someone give me a clue or PM me please?
I agree, the hardest part of this one is the one letter. There's 3 steps to this one:
1) Think of what you learned in level 5.
2) Think of what you learned in level 15.
3) Do something like what you had to do in level 7.
I don't understand this level at all. All I have is two upside-down JPEG image symbols upside down with an (x) symbol between them, with 'yin' and 'yang' beneath them. I know what yin and yang are but I'm completely lost. And what is all this talk of letters... I'm really confused lol.

Just think what those symbols above 'yin' and 'yan' could mean. then you should start to understand. also, the clue pretty much covers what the x means.
Citation de: TopsummonerI know what yin and yang are
then forget about it, as someone wrote, it's not a matter of meaning (unless you consider the complementarity of these two meanings, but you'll understand better after solving it :P ...)
just re-read preferentially what moderators said above, and you'll realize that you have all in your hands.
use what you have, in the only logicall way there is (or why not the way it's written?), and see through the light the answer you are looking for.
I really need help here, I do not understand what cursive writing is, and im so stuck on this level. Whether or not im allowed help I dont know because, I believe it was level 9? All I saw were grey boxes, I had to get the answer from a friend frankly, im completely colourblind.

No worries, colors don't mean a thing. Regarding the cursive writing, this would be a good thing to learn. Remember the things you learn today you just might use again further down the road! ;) I'm sure you can find some very useful information by using our good old friend..........HERE (https://web.archive.org/web/20071008075657/http://www.google.com/)!!
Hi yea I'm a bit stumped. I keep seeing messages about letters and cursive writing and things like that. I was just wondering if I was going in the right direction (which, at the moment, is just staring at the computer:mad:)
and was also wondering if someone could tell me if there's a button that I need to press eg PRINt SCREEN or... I don't know, copy it onto paint or something. Plus, do I need photo shop or something like that?
Coluld somebody just point me in the right direction, a clue or something...

You probably do need to use an imaging software, but it doesn't have to be photoshop. There are instructions to download the gimp here: http://forum.ouverture-facile.com/viewtopic.php?id=136 (https://web.archive.org/web/20071008075657/http://forum.ouverture-facile.com/viewtopic.php?id=136) if you need it.
