Rules :

- DO NOT post answers, links, screenshots or level's elements. You'll get banned if you spoil the pleasure of others, even if they ask for.

If you request some help :

Don't be too specific but don't be too vague. It's rather hard to find the right way to ask but imagine yourself in a room with other players. You can't whisper and you need to solve a riddle, you have the right to ask for a clue those who have already solved it, but you don't want the other players to find before you. To understand what you're asking for, one should be at the same step. Don't spoil the steps for the others ! You can use metaphors if you want. Show us that you're smart!

Read this topic carefully, your question may have already been asked (and answered). There's no need to ask the same question twice, even if there's no answer.

If you help somebody :

Don't help him too much, don't deprive him the pleasure to find by himself, just guide him on the way without being too specific, using as much images, metaphors and maybe other riddles as you can. After all, you're smart too ;)!

If everybody plays by the rules, things will be much more funny and no one will get hurt.

Write in a correct language, ban SMS style and try to avoid spelling mistakes as much as possible.

Could use a hand on this one???

Spoiler

Toma : I've had to hide some parts of your post, which means you're on the rigth way. Persevere, you've almost found ;)

All right, I've managed to make it this far without needing any help, but I have solved the first bit and the (seemingly) useless error I keep getting has me stumped. I just want to know: is it a separate puzzle? Is it a new input for the first part? (certainly doesn't seem to be the case...) Is it indicating I need to revise my answer? (I've tried every permutation I can think of...)

:o

I could use a nudge in the right direction on this one...

I think I know what the letters in the clue mean, but I'm not sure what to do with this information; also, I suspect the url plays a role but I'm not sure how.

Swan has moved. Try to guess what might have changed between his old place and the new one.

I've honestly spent like 10 hours over the last week staring at this puzzle and still have nothing other than maybe understanding the clue... could someone pm me with a hint?

Damn ! Swan has moved. I wonder what's his new adresse.

do you need to be able to read the font on the map for this one? I can't make out many of the places, especially the smaller ones.

kRaZyKiRb: No worries, the ones that are important are clearly visible!   :)

Ok, I have literally tried every possible thing that could've changed when Swan moved. What am I missing?

This shouldn't be so hard. I'm sure the answer is at your finger tips, you just gotta think. Toma's clue is also very important.    ;)

Oh dear, I just can't think. I have taken Toma's post into consideration, but I can't see any pattern. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

"I know you hear what I'm saying, but are you listening?"
Now apply the above concept to reading and reread my post.   :)

This one has been the most frustrating puzzle of them all (for me).  I just came back from a week away (out of frustration) and still have no clue.  I know the c******** from the clue and have zero idea about this address or change hints.  Please help!

Hi!

IŽm stuck for days now...
I got the two countries and I think it has to do with the l******* but IŽve no idea how to combine that with the ***.
IŽve tried hundreds of possibilities in french and english but with no success.
Is there any specific significance about the comma in front of the letters?

Can anyone give me a nudge?

Well of course that's significant, this is Ouverture Facile! Toma's post #6 will really help you out. Why, now, would Swan put a comma into the URL? The key to this level is to answer that question.

Does this have to do with k******* l*****s?  (I hope someone can understand that.)  It seems that it should, but I've looked up a ton of them, and I can't figure out the significance of the letters in the *** and in the clue.

Edit:  I know the 2 countries, but the 2 k*******s are basically the same.  Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree...?

I am stumped on this level. I think I understand the relevance of the letters in the clue, but I don't know what to do with the result. Also, the letters in the URL aren't valid to the same rules. Do I have to reshuffle them?

I seem to be getting the same useless error phreakymonkey got. I've tried to remove all kinds of tails, but it doesn't get me any further. Am I missing something?
Titre: Re: Level 42

really?

all kinds of tails?

are you quite sure?
Titre: Re: Level 42
Posté par: Depep le 31 Juillet 2007, 11:58:10
Apparently not, but I'm running out of tails to try.

I've tried things like removing the l from .**** or removing the last character of the previous answer I found. I've even tried removing the sheep and the chicken because they have tails, that might show my desperation ;).

I have a feeling I'm on the wrong track and will be hitting myself when I find the answer, but so far I haven't a clue.

Is this new puzzle in any way related to the original one?

Edit:
I looked through all similar errors I got before, they were all unrelated to the original puzzle, so I suppose this one is as well.

Edit2:
Finally figured it out. The tail was a bit smaller than I thought ;)
