Don't be too specific but don't be too vague. It's rather hard to find the right way to ask but imagine yourself in a room with other players. You can't whisper and you need to solve a riddle, you have the right to ask for a clue those who have already solved it, but you don't want the other players to find before you. To understand what you're asking for, one should be at the same step. Don't spoil the steps for the others ! You can use metaphors if you want. Show us that you're smart!

If you help somebody :

Don't help him too much, don't deprive him the pleasure to find by himself, just guide him on the way without being too specific, using as much images, metaphors and maybe other riddles as you can. After all, you're smart too !

If everybody plays by the rules, things will be much more funny and no one will get hurt.

Write in a correct language, ban SMS style and try to avoid spelling mistakes as much as possible.

Been on this one for several days now, and think I'm in need of some help.
I have 8 letters.  These 8 letters, when read like a book (left to right, top to bottom) don't make a proper word, however the first few letters of my 8 make it look like a word is there somewhere.  I am assuming that I have a few of the letters incorrect (more than one, since I can't think of what the word would even be).  Is this the case?
I have assumed that I've gotten a few letters wrong, but even going over each of the smaller puzzles again and again, I can't seem to get any other answer than the one I have now.
Any prods in the right direction is welcome.

For Level 13? The crossword? I think you're in the wrong forum (because it was posted in an other part of the forum) . Anyway... try pairing things. Hope that's not too cryptic/obvious, this is the first time I've tried helping someone else.

I don't remember seeing anything about the level 13 clue posted anywhere else -- the way level 13 was solved seemed different than the clue given here.  I actually never figured out what it meant, I just figured out that puzzle's answer based on the context.

If anyone could give me a hint as to how that particular one is solved, I'd appreciate it.  I don't need it for the answer, but it's really nagging at my brain!

Ah I can't get this one. I can't figure out what does the clue (4[6]) means. Also, the purple color in level 9 doesn't seem to cross anything. I've got the remaining letters, but it doesn't seem to make a proper word :S Help me plz

But for the lvl 9: i think you've got the wrong color.
And I've got the same problem with lvl 13

Can I send a PM to someone that wants to correct the letters I've got already?

This is the first one that I've got properly stuck on.

Assuming it's an 8 letter word that we're after (please confirm, is it 1 letter for each box?), I've got 6 of them. I've been trying to cheat the rest of it by using http://www.crosswordsolver.org but that hasn't worked.

I was SO sure I had the answer with "classics", especially given the page title is "Greatest Hits" but no.

Stuck on the level9 part, I'm positive that red and blue make purple but apparently not.

Also stuck on the crossword bit, 4[6], wtf?

Tip: Have you tried figuring out without having solved the complete riddle? It's pretty simple.

Red and blue do make purple, but that's a moot point.  Maybe your color discrimination abilities are slightly off (like mine were).
