Now THAT I didn't know.
Speaking of technical mistakes ¬¬
Well it seems I get the right image now. But... it's the exact thing I got on the downloading .j** file... I feel something's slipping...
That sounds odd, maybe try the whole process once again and possibly in another folder, who knows what are Windows hiding in the temp/cache :-

I had similar problem, edited everything right, but couldnt open the final file... But on the 3. try, it opened without problems ::)

I cleared cache, internet files, saved the mixings with different titles... I keep getting a non-valid file and the corrupted image that is the original downloading one...
WHat in tarnation? o.O

Maybe I missed a third piece to add...
Or is there a third way to combine the two files?
I just can't figure why I keep getting the non-answer image...

I see... that means you have combined the files incorrectly. Examine briefly all three in the hex editor and try to figure out the right way of merging. Once again, mind my first post in this thread !

I have been dweling on it a long time... but I have no idea what I'm looking at (code, I mean). I just lack the knowledge to understand what do I have to look for.

Ahem

Surprisingly, I got this one almost right away.  The trick is to make it look a little scrambled, order won't help you here.

There seems to be a faulty set of 202020 and 303030 which I can't figure. I've tried replacing them with the other file's code, but it doesn't work. I'm pretty much lost.... help?

notoryous

you can see that the picture is like squished, but how do you extend it. i mean, i'm pretty sure you gotta splice them together. maybe i'm completely heading in the wrong direction. but when i save it, i can't even open it. even if i make it into a .jpg, it won't open. "No Preview Available."

Lefteris

My god is very very unfair this level. i dont know how to uses this hex editor even after i read the Hex's Tutorias. I must combine some parts. thats what i know. but i cannot find the 2020 part and the 3030. please help me.... please i love this game.

Hi!

I just got those 3 files and opened them with an HEX-Editor, but every try to combine them results in an error.
Can anyone give me a hint how to combine them correctly??

You only need two of them. How to combine them? The riddle tells you. And how exactly?

Do I have to replace something in the e*.*** file or should I add somehow it with m**.***?? IŽm totally lost at this one, computer-engineering has never been my strength.

That is a part of the riddle, think about the assignment. You will have to use some "computer-engineering" after you find out what to do with the s***** c***.

I got the answer and everything but i am just curious if i was supposed to know exaclty where to put the ***.*** file in **.*** to make it perfect?

Exactly - I dont think so, unless you know at least something about programming.
I have seen only two possibilities, so I tried both (see my first post) . And I am no PC guru. Hex editor was  very helpful, to get the right view.

loki

I am pretty sure i know what i have to do and have narrowed it down to one of two different spots but neither work...can anyone shed some light?
